INFO BRIEF Nº. 3 - BEEF CATTLE PRODUCTIVITY INDEX: AN APPLICATION IN THE BEEF TAC
Researchers from the Luiz de Queiroz Land Studies Foundation (Fealq) of São Paulo University (USP), the Centre for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) of USP and Imaflora have released an analysis for the establishment of a beef cattle productivity index, based on a maximum productivity index of a beef cattle ranch, as a way to monitor and suppress the laundering of cattle.
The audits of the commitment of the Term of Adjustment for Beef will be key to proving the effectiveness of the index application and any possible calibration method that may be needed.
